Abstract

Guided surgery is nowadays one of the most used strategies by dentists who work in the field of implantology; The literature on this topic, although extensive, is a growing field that still lacks articles that generate certainty about all the approaches that can be derived from this technique, due to the quality of the primary studies. This review is performed in order to provide the new clinician and those who are making their first immersion in the field of guided implantology, the basic and critical concepts of image collection, diagnosis, planning and development of guided dental implants surgery.
