Peer Review Process
All manuscripts will be checked for adequacy of the Journal of Orofacial Innovation and Science (JOIS) standards. Those that do not meet the standards will be immediately returned to the authors even before peer review.
After the first evaluation by the editors, manuscripts will be forwarded to at least two scientific reviewers for peer review (reviewers and unidentified authors).
Based on the opinion of the scientific reviewers, the Editorial Committee will decide whether the manuscript will be:
[ ] Accepted without modification
[ ] Accepted after minor modifications (no further revision)
[ ] Accepted after extensive modifications (with new revision)
[ ] Rejected
( ) the subject is not appropriate for the journal
( ) does not add new knowledge
The request for corrections and/or suggestions will not indicate the acceptance of the manuscript, but only the possibility of new analysis by the reviewers. When requesting changes to the original manuscript, authors must send a new version of the revised manuscript accompanied by a letter to the editors with the responses to the reviewers' considerations.
Once accepted, the manuscript will undergo technical reviews and the Journal of Orofacial Innovation and Science (JOIS) reserves the right to edit the manuscript to ensure adequate, concise, and objective language.
All manuscripts deemed unsuitable for publication in the Journal of Orofacial Innovation and Science (JOIS) will be returned to the authors along with a letter of justification.
Every effort will be made by the Editorial Board to ensure that no inaccurate statements are published in this journal.
The Editorial Board makes it clear that the opinions expressed in the articles are the responsibility of the authors, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Editorial Board.
